What is a fair price for these then? The JBL woofers have to be worth about $250-300 alone. Then you have the 808s and 511 horns. Yes, they don't have original Altec woofers. How much more would they be worth if they had say 421 woofers in them? Just asking for because I'm curious.

JBL no longer offers factory support/cone kits for these heritage drivers. Not unlike the 421's, their lack of serviceability has taken a bite out of their value.

Agreed condition is paramount. D140 in need of recone, 150 pair tops. Still likely go higher than blown 421's.
850 is about right in GOOD condition, actual value would take inspection.
